Pygg, like many early-stage startups had recently pivoted and it's brand image no longer made sense. The product sought to simplify the workflow of paying friends and groups by providing an easy to use web app to manage payments. I led all aspects of the redesign to simplify it's image / brand.
The redesign also extended to Pygg'ss mobile product that enabled payments on the go.
Previously the Pygg brand felt overly playful and “Startup-y” which isn’t necessarily a good thing for a company that you make trusted payments with. To recast pygg as a simple but trusted name for payments I focussed on reducing the brand to the essentials.
